Next Saturday (June 20) is my only planned absence from the market, so be sure to stop by tomorrow and stock up on spring veggies! It is also likely your last chance for garlic scapes, which have a short harvest season. But then the garlic itself will be harvested soon, once the scapes are done and the foliage starts to die back, and I will have fresh garlic to bring to market. (And yes, as you can see in photo above, the tomato plants have begun putting on fruit, so tomato season isn’t too far away!)

I have also signed up for a second market this season! Bridgewater Retirement Community hosts a farmer’s market on the fourth Thursday of each month, June through October, 8:30-11:30 a.m. So the week after my brief hiatus, you can find me at two markets – Bridgewater on Thursday, June 25, then back in Broadway on Saturday. Whew!
See you at the market!
